STATEWIDE PROPOSITION RECOMMENDATIONS
For the upcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election

ROBYN'S Bottom Line Positions on the 10 Statewide Propositions:

VOTE YES on Propositions #34 & #36

VOTE NO on all other propositions -- #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #32, #33, and #35

I'm highlighting proposition 3 - the most dangerous proposition on the ballot. For more details on additional propositions, see the resources below from Frank Kacer and Senator John Moorlach.

PROP 3: VOTE NO!! ON PROPOSITION 3

Don't be deceived by proponents – Proposition 3 will NOT make any practical difference on same-sex marriages in California. However, what it will do is incredibly DANGEROUS! Proposition 3 will place these words within the California Constitution: "the right to marry is a fundamental right." This vague language does not define what marriage is and it has no limitations on the ages, numbers, familial relationships of the people in the marriage. If this passes, JUDGES will rewrite the future of marriages in California and a "Pandora's Box" of problems will be unleashed over time.

PROP 3 RESOURCE: Attorney Dean Broyles analysis: Please Vote "No" On Proposition 3, Assemblymember Evan Low's Radical Expansion

Excerpt: "Proposition 3 does not in any way, shape, or form define what marriage even is nor does it include any meaningful limitations as to the number of persons involved, the age of persons involved nor even proscribe that the other entity (or entities) participating in the institution must be human persons. If marriage is a personal ‘fundamental right' which is individually defined personal feelings and one's sense of personal autonomy are the ultimate deciders and the sky is, in fact, the limit, unless of course one or more persons are legally permitted to marry the sky. Any definition of marriage (what it is or is not) becomes ultimately subjective, delimited only an individual's feelings, predilections and imaginations. Thus, in short order, Proposition 3 could legitimize nearly any marriage configuration imaginable including" ... (read analysis for more details)

RESOURCE: Frank Kacer's excellent analysis on all 10 statewide PROPOSITIONS

Robyn Nordell's note: Frank always does a thorough analysis of propositions from a biblical perspective. Frank and I agree on 9 out of the 10 propositions. Here's where we differ - He is voting NO on proposition 34 and I will be voting YES.

SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH'S TAKE ON CALIFORNIA STATE PROPOSITIONS

Robyn's Note: you can CLICK HERE to see much more info / supportive material from John regarding his statewide proposition recommendations. I have included a few of his additional links below.

Prop. 2 - NO - Authorizes $10 Billion Bond for Public School and Community College Facilities - Moorlach Update - Proposition 2 School Bond - September 3, 2024

"Why did Sacramento fail to set aside funds just like it requires HOAs to do? Because it spent funds on increased salaries and pension benefits instead, as requested by public employee unions."

Prop. 3 - NO - "Opens a Pandora's Box on" Constitutional Right to Marriage

Prop. 4 - NO - Authorizes $10 Billion Bond for Climate Change and Grab Bag of Items - Moorlach Update - Proposition 4 Climate Bond - September 11, 2024

"At the end of the day, Prop 4 is a scam that is written to sound like it will help water and fire prevention - but there is no guarantee that even one penny will help and there is zero accountability to make sure that happens - vote NO on Prop 4 and demand better."

Prop. 5 - NO - Lowers Voter Threshold to Pass Bonds to 55%

Prop. 6 - NO - Eliminates Constitutional Provision Allowing Involuntary Servitude for Incarcerated Persons (You Just Can't Make This Stuff Up) - Also see OC Register Editorial "No on Prop. 6, a misguided ballot measure"

Prop. 32 - NO - Raises Minimum Wage

Prop. 33 - NO - Rent Control

Prop. 34 - YES - Restricts Nonprofits Who Receive Significant Government Funding from Pursuing Certain Political Efforts

Prop. 35 - NO - Makes Permanent the Existing Tax on Managed Health Care Insurance Plans for Funding for Medi-Cal Health Care Services

"The United States government wants California to tax managed healthcare providers to pay a state tax that will be matched by Federal funds. The Governor claims that it will be a wash. That is not accurate, but we have yet to see the details that have been negotiated between the Governor's office and major healthcare providers, like Kaiser Permanente. But expect your already high medical premiums to increase should this tax be approved."

Prop. 36 - YES - Will Try to Undo Prop. 47 (2014) For Which Then-Attorney General Kamala Harris Wrote the Untrue Ballot Title "Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act" (and Property Crimes and Shoplifting Have Since Skyrocketed)
