These Charts Compare the Views of the Statewide Constitutional Office Candidates on Many Issues
GOVERNOR: JOHN COX
John is a strong fiscal, freedom, and social conservative! He's doing well with Republicans and moderate democrats! Check out his website for his “plan to fix California” and to see his ad, "Help Is On The Way!" Please urge everyone you know to vote for John Cox for governor!
LT GOVERNOR: Two Terrible Candidates. Both Ed Hernandez and Eleni Kounalakis are far-left Democrats. You have the option of skipping this race and voting on everything else. If you choose to vote in this race, you might consider the following:
Craig Huey of Election forum says: “Eleni Kounalakis is a socialist and probable governor/presidential candidate in the future. It would be best to defeat her now.”
Senator John Moorlach's voting guide says that he is voting for Ed Hernandez. I (Robyn) am also voting for Ed Hernandez (as a vote to block Kounalakis).
SECRETARY OF STATE: MARK MEUSER
Mark Meuser is a fiscal conservative. According to ElectionForum voter guide, Meuser would require voter ID, would investigate voter fraud, support a national voter integrity project, and is on board with ElectionForum's “top Ten Family Value CA Issues.”
CONTROLLER: KONSTANTINOS RODITIS
Conservative voter guide, nancyspicks.com, says: Roditis “would do a great job as Controller. He is a successful Conservative OC Businessman, who believes in ‘staunchly limiting government', and says that ‘over-bearing government regulations' is stifling business growth in CA. He calls the High Speed Rail a ‘money pit' and believes it should be de-funded.” Election Forum gives Roditis their highest rating.
TREASURER: GREG CONLON
Greg is a strong fiscal conservative and is highly qualified for this position. Conservative John Moorlach highly recommends Conlon.
ATTORNEY GENERAL: JUDGE STEVEN BAILEY
Judge Bailey would make an amazing attorney general! Judge Bailey is an excellent, well-qualified, Constitutional, fiscal, and social Conservative. He is currently a Superior Court judge in El Dorado County, w/ a wide, diverse background in CA law.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Steve Poizner
Steve Poizner is a registered “Independent” and is greatly preferable to leftist opponent. Steve opposes changing Prop 13, opposes taxpayer funded abortions, wants more free market competition in the insurance industry, promotes health savings accounts, and opposes a Single Payer Health Plans.
SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION: Marshall Tuck
Though not a conservative, Tuck is greatly preferable to his far-left opponent. Tuck is open to charter schools and is friendlier to parent rights.
U.S. SENATOR: No recommendation; Just some thoughts:
We have Two Terrible Candidates! Both Dianne Feinstein and Kevin de León are Far-Left Democrats. Feinstein is somewhat more moderate, but she has behaved despicably in the Kavanagh hearings. You have the option of skipping this race and voting on everything else. If you choose to vote in this race, you might consider the following:
85-year old Sen. Feinstein is nearing the end of her career. If she wins, as most incumbents do, we may have an opportunity to replace her relatively soon, while the 51-year old de León could be in that office for decades.
Craig Huey of Election Forum says: "de León is a socialist and anti-family candidate. He must be defeated and stopped from being senator for the next 18 years."
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
Dist 1: Republican Ted Gaines
Dist 2: Republican Mark Burns
Dist 3: Republican G. Rick Marshall
